About

Our Story

Gateway Prison Ministry is committed to discipling the incarcerated and their families. We plant Gateway Church campuses inside prisons and build community within prison walls, so offenders will feel like part of the Gateway family. They can experience regular worship and attend Gateway Equip classes centered on discipleship, marriage, and parenting to help them for life after incarceration.

At Gateway, our vision is to see people saved, healed, set free, discipled, equipped, empowered, and serving. Our mission is to help each person at Gateway believe in Jesus, belong to family, become a follower, and build God’s kingdom. When we plant a prison campus or serve inside of a prison, we desire to serve offenders in each of these ways possible, allowing God to move their hearts in such a way that they continue on this path post-release.

When you read the resources presented on this website, keep in mind that governmental regulations regarding prison protocols might be different from state to state. Because Gateway Church is based in Southlake, TX, the Texas Department of Criminal Justice is the authority with which Gateway sets its standards.

Every number has a name, every name has a story,
and every story matters to Jesus.
